Elkhorn High senior can become the second wrestler in program history to win multiple state titles
OMAHA, Neb. —It's the Warren Morris type dream moment that the Road To Omaha Statue was built for. Down 2-1 to #1 Wake Forrest, LSU needed something big from its offense in the third inning on Wednesday, as Cade Beloso came up to the plate with the bases loaded and one out. First, LSU tied the game on a wild pitch. Then, on a 2-0 count, Beloso finally got his pitch and made Wake starter Seth Keener pay for it., cracking a three-run home run over the right-field wall, making him forever an LSU HR legend. The blast by Beloso, nicknamed "The Creole Bmbineaux" handed LSU a 5-2 lead, and the Tigers never looked back from there, winning over Wake Forest by the same score to keep their championship hopes alive. LSU (51-16) will face Wake Forest (54-11) again in a do-or-die matchup scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday and set to be broadcast on ESPN2. The winner will move on to the College World Series final and face Florida beginning on Saturday night at 6 pm..
